I got up early today and it was a great day. If you ever find yourself looking for more hours in the day, I suggest going to sleep and waking up earlier. I found more hours in the day than I knew what to do with.

Early to bed, early to rise

I normally get asked to stop performing olympic lifts at my gym. No one is sure why, but I think it scares the people who are doing party curls. Either way in the past couple of days, Rob and I have found a couple of gyms where I can lift without fear of expulsion…hopefully. Because of this, I have learned a very important lesson: If something blocks your path towards a goal, figure out a way to go around that roadblock. The only constant is change, and I think the best ways to reach your own goal is to bet the driving force behind your changes.

I challenge those of you reading this post to take the initiative and write down your goals (this might be harder than you thought) and the challenges that are associated with those goals. For those who are feeling particularly inspired, take the first step towards solving those challenges. I had to look up all of the gyms in Madison which lead to a short list of potential gyms. Therefore, be proactive and succeed.

There is always a way around

A great post you should check out here. Brian St. Pierre really gets it when talking about nutrition. There has been a lot of hype about diets free from animal products lately due to the book The China Study. Really makes me consider grass-fed/free range animals over the commercial farming, corn-fed, caged animals.
